I think this article really hits the nail on the head, historically speaking of course. The Senators have had a really spastic year and I would have to say it is primarily due to a series of key head office lay offs over the offseason. I can only hope that they can regroup and make a run at the cup, hopefully bringing a Stanley Cup ring to each and every member of that organization, which they failed to do last season, and those in past.

The way the East Division is right now, almost every team, with the exception of Buffalo and maybe Atlanta, is going to be in a battle right to the end to make the playoffs. As of today five teams tied with 33 points and 11 teams within nine points of each other...a couple good teams are goin to miss out. The point being the Sens have to make the playoffs before they can take a run at the Cup.
